Teachers and students came up with great ideas and they were executed with great enthusiasm. Children also shared their creative skills and ideas with their friends and had a great time creating wind chimes, the phonic farm houses, grocery bags, flower vases, pen stand transport. They also made under water animals using cda, caps out of plastic bags and hanging pots. The outcome was spectacular, one of the most enjoyable crafts that children made.

A memory camp was conducted for the students of Grade 3 – 8 so that they learn some powerful techniques on certain memory skills by using accelerated ways of learning.  The Memory Champ by Only Success was an organized competition about mental sport. Students memorize as much information as possible within a given period of time. In this tailor made session for children, primary focus was to incorporate the significance of memory within the children.

Students were given a training before the competition using the techniques of enhanced learning. The camp consisted of two rounds – visual and auditory. All the students participated in the visual round, after elimination only a few were able to attempt the auditory round. Three of our students emerged as winners - second runner-up was Navneeth from Grade 5A, first runner-up was Esther from Grade 4B and the first place was bagged by Sahla of Grade 4B. Children learnt a new perspective on how to memorise things faster. A few memory improvement techniques were taught to all the children present for the memory camp.

The walk was followed by a beautiful poem ‘being different wasn’t something I planned’. As Specialists, Ms. Vanika gave the teacher’s talk sensitizing the students about Autism. The children took back an experience.

Kindergarten and Grade 1 students along with their teachers joined hands while celebrating Earth Day keeping in mind that they want to make our Earth a better place to live in. KG I students lead by example by reusing material they had, to make quirky and novel pen stands and beautiful and unique vases. KG II students didn’t want to lag behind, they made ‘Paper Mache’ creating miniature roads and city maps.

Teachers of KG II enacted a skit on how children can preserve the Earth, focusing on the three R’s. Teachers used automobile as a prop so children could relate to it and told students that rubber can be reduced, recycled and reused in the form of jogging tracks, parking lot and basketball courts.

Teachers of Grade 1 put in extra effort to explain to their students’ extraordinary ways of conserving energy and on how to make this planet a better place to live in. Grade 1 students made the solar cooker, and experienced and explored the various ways of cleaning mother Earth.  There was also an activity of separating waste into 3 different bins of reduce, recycle and reuse. We believe with proper guidance children of Credence will be the caretakers of our planet for years to come.

Many people have great qualities, but not too many have courage! With courage you can stand up for what you believe is right or wrong. With this thought in mind students of Grade 7 presented the assembly on the theme ‘Bravery and courage’.

The assembly began invoking God’s blessing, by reciting the Holy Quran, followed by sharing the thought of the day which reiterated the fact, that “Success is not final, failure is not fatal: it is the courage to continue that counts.” Students talked about how women has been brave and have stood up for what they believe in. They spoke about the iconic Chhavi Rajawat & Irom Sharmila – also known as the “Iron Lady of Manipur”.

This was followed by the teacher’s talk given by Mr. Sourjya Head of the Department (Science) who told the students how difficult but important it is to be brave. Our Principal, Madam Deepika Thapar Singh gave away prizes to winners of the International English Olympaid (IEO) conducted by Science Olympaid Foundation (SOF) last year. The students were awarded with medals to celebrate their achievement. The assembly concluded, when everyone present, sang the School song followed by the National anthem of UAE and India with pride and honor.

Students of Class VIII A, presented a thought provoking assembly on the topic- ‘Happiness’ on 13 April, 2017. It began with the Holy Recitation of Quran and a soul - stirring thought that made all realize the importance of Happiness.

The students enacted a short play which conveyed the message that “We make unnecessary comparison with others and become sad. We don’t value what God has given us. This all leads to the vicious cycle of unhappiness. Person who is satisfied with what he/she has, is the happiest person in the world”.

We opened our doors in the beginning of this month to welcome children for the academic year 2017 -18. To make the school journey joyful for both the children and the parents an orientation programme was organized in children’s respective classrooms. The programme was specifically designed for each class providing helpful information about student curriculum, activities and life at Credence.

                KG II

The orientation began with the teacher speaking on the topic ‘Fun at Kindergarten’, teacher and child relationship and how children begin the day at Kindergarten. Parents were told about who is going to cater to their children, personal grooming and hygiene, parent and school communication, medical care, curriculum, activities the child will be involved in, assessment. Teachers assured the parents to do their very best and mold the children into independent individuals while also asking for parental support at every step.

                GRADE 1 – 8

The orientation programme was organized categorically. Teachers emphasized on different learning terminologies that they planned for children in each term so they can learn and write better. Teachers assured the parents that they will encourage children to speak up and communicate, student feedback is given utmost importance they said. Parents were guaranteed that their children will be taught to be technically sound, to do better at assessments. Teachers concluded by saying that communication is the key for a successful academic year and parents should communicate to teachers about their concerns, queries, suggestions so both can together help the child grow.

Orientation is a key beginning to a good parent school partnership. This programme offered a glimpse of Credence High School that plays a defining role in the life of a child. It was a guide to parents in the next step of the educational journey of their children.

It was a Sunday morning filled with hope and anxiety both for parents and their children. The first day of school, especially Kindergarten is one to remember. Children were excited to join other kids, make friends and enjoy a good day at school. As they children entered their colorful classrooms, they were greeted by their teachers, assistant teachers and nannies who hugged, carried and consoled the ones who were crying. But this was short lived, soon the children got busy in engaging activities planned by their teachers. Children laughed, played and enjoyed every moment. It was the smoothest running first day. The kids were great.  As they said good bye to their teachers they looked forward to come to school the next day. It was an awesome day at Credence!

It is an exciting and worrisome time for parents as their little ones step into a new school. Many parents would like a little guidance as to what their children will be doing in school, how they will adjust to the new environment, and what is in store for them. Hence Credence High School Kindergarten staff members organized an orientation programme for the parents of KG 1 on 1 April 2017 in order to provide some of that guidance.

The programme was held in the school auditorium and began by the Event Co-ordinator welcoming parents. Then Mrs. Dhanalaxmi – Head of KG and Grade 1 took over by introducing the parents into the Credence Kindergarten world and took them through the Kindergarten journey. She informed them as to how their child will be spending the day in school. She also explained about curriculum, activities the child will be involved in, programmes and events the child is going to be a part of - a short a sneak peek into the domain of Credence Kindergarten.

The school counsellor also spoke to the parents on ‘Parent-Child-School Relationship’. Parents were then thanked by our CEO-Principal, Mrs. Deepika Thapar Singh who assured them that, their children are in the right hands and that Credence will shape their character and make them better individuals.

After this the parents went to the respective classes of their children, met their class teachers and assistant teachers. In the classroom the parents were introduced to the learning centers, they also visited the music room, dance room, play area and KG library. Parents left the school premises with a feeling of a long-lasting relationship that they and their child are going to have with the school. They went back home reassured and happy that their child will be attending a school that will truly love and care for their child, just like they do.
