TRIP TO THE US

All of us long to travel and see the world around us. Travelling to the USA is a dream everyone wishes became reality. Four of our students accompanied by their teacher saw this dream turn into reality. USA is a country of road trips and great open skies, where four million miles of highways lead past red-rock deserts, below towering mountain peaks, and across fertile wheat fields that roll off toward the horizon. America is the birthplace of LA, Las Vegas, Chicago, Miami, Boston and New York City - each a brimming metropolis whose name alone conjures a million different notions of culture, cuisine and entertainment. Their trip was as follows:

DAY 01: 16 DECEMBER- Home to the Empire State Building, Times Square, Statue of Liberty and other iconic sites, New York City is a fast- paced, globally influential center of art, culture, fashion and finance.

DAY 02: 17 DECEMBER - The Statue of Liberty is a colossal neoclassical sculpture on Liberty Island in New York Harbor in New York City, in the United States.

DAY 03: 18 DECEMBER - The Empire State Building is a 102-story skyscraper located in Midtown Manhattan, New York City, on Fifth Avenue between West 33rd and 34th Streets.

DAY 04: 19 DECEMBER – Washington – US Capitol and Air Space Museum.

DAY 5: 20 DECEMBER – Orlando.

DAY 6: 21 DECEMBER - Space Shuttle Atlantis showcases the priceless, historic spacecraft that tells the incredible story of NASA’s 30-year Space Shuttle Program.

DAY 07: 22 DECEMBER – Kennedy Space Center

DAY 08: 23 DECEMBER – Universal Orlando, a city in central Florida, is home to more than a dozen theme parks. Chief among its claims to fame is Walt Disney World, comprised of 4 parks, including Magic Kingdom and Epcot, and 2 water parks. Another major player, Universal Orlando, offers 2 parks: Universal Studios and Islands of Adventure, with the Wizarding World of Harry Potter straddling both.

On 24 December, our four students returned to UAE with their teacher with smiles on their faces, memories to cherish for a lifetime and unforgettable experience of visiting America.

A special assembly was held for Grade 1 to Grade 8 students where all students got together to celebrate Christmas as one joyous family. The theme of the assembly was ‘tolerance’ and the idea behind it was to create the awareness of tolerance towards other religions. Students were dressed in zesty and lively colours.

Grade 1 – 4 students participated in this special assembly. Day was commenced by Quran recitation and the children brimmed the programme with the essence of Christmas by singing the carol medley. To throw insights on the theme, Grade 4 students presented a dialogue presentation depicting that all religions must be treated and respected as one. Grade 3 & 4 gave a wonderful dance performance on ‘Jingle bells’.

A short message on Christmas was shared by a Grade 4 student on the importance of Santa and the truth behind it. It truly enlightened the students. On this special day, students from Grade 1 – 8 were recognized for their academic excellence in ASSET exam and ABACUS.

Students were given a certificate of appreciation for the best behaviour in school by our Principal-CEO, Mrs. Deepika Singh. Students were astonished by the surprise entry of Santa Claus who danced, gave away chocolates and greeted them. The programme was concluded by our Principal Madam’s message and UAE national anthem.

Not just this, students from KG to Grade 8 had class parties in their respective classes. All children bought various food items, which they shared with other students. Hence, the spirit of sharing and joy of giving prevailed. KG students had Santa Claus visit them in their classes, children were delighted to dance and they share the joy. All our children embraced the spirit of Christmas with joyful hearts.

Parents who have transferable jobs find it difficult to find schools for their kids mid session, with CBSE transferring child/ren mid-session becomes easier as all CBSE schools have a uniform syllabus and exam structure everywhere, so it does not matter if your ward is joining any time of the year, he or she can easily cope with the syllabus.

          Developing Holistic Individuals

Indian schools (CBSE curriculum) follows a cumulative approach to its syllabus, which means there is a continuity and link to previous topics of study. The advantage of this approach is that it makes remembering simple. At Credence we offer our students inclusive and holistic learning, hence students from Pre-KG to Grade 12 relate to what they had studied.

          Academically Recognized

CBSE Board is known for its emphasis on theoretical and practical knowledge, which helps students to gain a deeper understanding of various subjects. All the medicine and engineering competitive exams are set by the CBSE board and the syllabus is based on the NCERT books, from which the students study. CBSE students have a higher chance of succeeding in competitive exams like NEET, JEE or AIEEE IIT-JEE, PMT, NDA, and CDS

Credence High School is one of the best Indian schools in Dubai where we strive to create a happy environment to engender a perpetual love of learning among our students.
