“We make a living by what we get, but
we make a life by what we give” – Winston Churchill
Intent- Tolerance is a virtue and an intrinsic part of a healthy culture.
It is observed at all levels: individual, organizational and national. It
promotes acceptance and understanding as core values of the society. In
alignment with that, H. H. Sheikh Khalifa bin Zayed declared 2019 as the Year
of Tolerance throughout the nation. Following which and after the successful
drive of ‘Can Collection’, we launched a ‘Stationery, Educational Toys & Gadgets
Collection Drive’ across the school under the Pink Mango Project. The
project was in collaboration with the Emirates Red Crescent Authority with
the aim to distribute the collections to refugee camps & schools in
different parts of the world under the Red Crescent umbrella.
Experience: Students contributed
generously and brought items like drawing books, academic books, sharpeners,
rulers, glue, scissors, calculator, school bags, pencil boxes, rubbers,
stationery box, stationery sets, educational toys, puzzles & legos, pen,
sketch pens, pencils, color pencils, crayons in large numbers. Children
demonstrated the true meaning of happiness in giving.
Insight: Apart from academics such community outreach programs assist in grooming the children to become
responsible citizens while understanding the importance of giving. Parents of
Credence High School have constantly and continuously contributed to such
programs and supported the goals of the school to give back to the society and
we are grateful to them for their generous contribution.
